To find help for ADHD, start by consulting your primary care physician for a referral to a mental health specialist or by directly contacting a specialist like a psychiatrist or psychologist. You can also find resources and support through organizations like CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder).
There are so many different resources online today for ADHD, it can be hard to sort through information. Checking in with your doctor or psychiatrist before making any decisions is highly recommended for the best interest of everyone involved.
Linked below is a website with helpful information and training regarding sensory needs and different sensory tools. This was another Gold Award project done by Girl Scout Lucy Berry, who also has ADHD. Please check this helpful resource out!
